We stayed two days at the Beach Retreat and it was perfect. The breakfast included was amazing. We had allergies in our party and chef came out and made special breakfast options for us. Those without allergies got an unbelievable spread and were very happy. The food was tasty and the service was outstanding at both the restaurant and lodging. Pool, playgrounds, evening s'mores. Great place to stay with kids and a shuttle to Legoland made things easy and less walking at end of the day. Park was so much fun for children and adults both.

Let’s start by saying this was our first time here and we were overjoyed. We got our key and went off to our room. The keys didn’t work, so we then tried to find someone to help us not realizing where we came in was guest services. That should be informed to guests. Secondly we finally get into our room a new one after 30 minutes of maintenance trying to fix the previous room, and it’s dirty. There’s mold in the bathroom, it smelt bad & there was bugs all along the window seals and bed frame. The tub in bathroom was black and there was hair and dirt all over the floors. We paid $300 for this room. The manager Zack tried to be accommodating and offer free s’mores or a late checkout, but for as much as we spent for one night just didn’t seem just. Also spent 30 minutes dialing the guest services number on the phone in the room to find out you have to call a certain number on your cell phone that they no longer use the room phones. This place is very confusing and not worth the money in my opinion. You’d get more bang for your buck at a normal hotel.
Editing to say we found a cockroach in the room and Zack the manager ended up comping the room for us so we are thankful for that, we just had the bad hand.

We had a great time and we love staying at the Beach retreat, but I will say that we were extremely disappointed when we went to swim and three lifeguards were sitting outside the pool and the pool was closed because they didn’t have a medic that day. Aren’t lifeguards trained ? My kids were looking forward to swimming on our last day. They told me I could go across the street to the Lego land hotel but that wasn’t where we stayed for a reason. We chose the beach retreat for its laid back feel and we didn’t want to drive back across the street just use the pool.

We have stayed here a few times and we loved it. However, this last time was not good. The rooms smell very intensely like mold. We asked for a room change on the first night and were accommodated only to find the second room also smelled VERY STRONGLY of mold. It was so bad! And now all of our luggage smells like mold and my daughter’s allergies are blowing up. There were also no bottled waters in the rooms and we had to ask for coffee pods, as the staff forgot to refill them. This wouldn’t be a big deal at a lower end hotel, but if I’m paying resort prices then I expect bottled waters and coffee in the rooms at a minimum. This being said, the beds were clean and the pool was great, but the mold smell was inescapable. There must be water damage causing the mold smell somewhere in the cabins. They need to figure this out. The smell was overwhelming and we will not be back until it is fixed.

This is a very unique resort that feels more like an Air BnB than a hotel. The rooms are all small duplex bungalows and they're all, of course, LEGO themed! My daughter was psyched when she saw the bunk beds with little LEGO sets on each pillow. That was a nice touch. She couldn't believe how many things were made out of actual LEGOs around the property and she collected tiny pieces which are oddly littered all throughout the place on the ground.
The rooms are clean, there's a decent sized mini fridge, and the TV has a bunch of LEGO movies on demand. There are a LOT of lifeguards at the pool. I just walked by this morning at 9am and there were two kids in the water and four lifeguards on duty.
In the evening the pool is all lit up and they have s'mores roasting at the fire pit ($25 for several s'mores worth). We all had a lot of fun and we'll definitely be back!
Pro tip: The ice machine is oddly located on the front side of the main building facing the parking lot.

I just want to express how terrible this place is for how much money spent on it, the bunk beds are the main concern with crumbs and dust in them, hair on the trundle bed and then bugs on the top bunk while it also felt like laying on a slab of concrete
When we first came in there was already a roach trying to escape to the dark behind the little lego box in the rooms
Floors were pretty dusty but that's whatever I guess if you're running in and out
The door didn't shut properly/swings open violently
Hopefully in the future the beach resort can redeem itself and gets better cleaning crews because right now a toddler could clean better

We booked the beach retreat for our son’s birthday trip & our first visit. We’ve lived in FL for 15+ years and have never visited Legoland before. We normally head to Disney often and go to the Halloween party yearly for our son’s birthday. This year he asked to go to Legoland so we did. We booked the room via military discount. The only option that was available for both of our days was the beach retreat. The people at the front gate check in were great and friendly. The staff was always friendly through our whole trip. The little Lego buildings were cute! However as soon as we opened the door we got a huge wiff of a mildew smell. It was pretty strong. We did run into some issues.
Bathroom: the bathtub had ants in it. There was hair on the wall and on the handheald shower head. Both were different hair. There was pee stain a on the toilet seat when you lift it up.
Kids room area: the bunk beds were dusty. Not the bed itself but the wooden parts of the bunk bed. You could see the dust and dirty stuff in the cracks . There were ants and bugs in the window . You can definitely tell this area does not get cleaned.
king bed: we were about to lay in bed when I noticed a piece of hair on my bed. My husband then found more hair. HOWEVER there was several types of hair on our bed. One of them definitely did not look like human hair. It was brown and white and the hair itself was very thick , like dog hair , definitely was not human hair. We ended up taking the blanket off and using the spare blanket . We found popcorn under the sheets as well which was gross .
The ac was super cold. However the filter itself was dirty. Upon looking the whole ac area was disgusting!! On day 2 my husband pointed out the seal to the door wasn’t even properly sealed and we could see outside. You can also see how filthy the walls are. I really wish I could post the video I have about the whole a/c area and the filth
The next morning my son woke up with bumps all over his legs going up his body. We ended up having to have him sleep in the bed with us the second night . The floors were filthy. We wore socks the whole time and laid towels down to walk around.
The breakfast was ok. We ended up going to McDonald’s the second day . The breakfast at the hotel had sausage that did not taste like sausage . The biscuits and gravy were cold when they got to our table however the service was great and everyone was friendly.
We will not stay here again. My husband was wanting to sleep in the car rather than staying in the hotel room due to how gross it was. We debated about leaving property and just going across the street to home 2 suites by Hilton but we didn’t want to spend another $500+ on two nights.
We will not be staying at this hotel again and we will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.
I get the hotel is in Florida and there are bugs and moisture in Florida. However this is pure disgust and neglect. I’ve lived in various parts of Florida over the last 20 years and my house and vents have never looked like this, not even on a military base!

This resort is a nice option for staying near the Legoland theme park, although keep in mind it is actually a short drive or shuttle away. The theming in the room is excellent and they make a great use of the space. It is absolutely geared towards grade school kids. The resort area itself is very quiet and provides plenty of kid friendly areas and activities. There is only one pool for the entire resort and it can be quite packed during peak times. The included all you can eat breakfast was a nice benefit although the service was a little slow. You may want to skip it if you're in a hurry to start your day.
